Principle of Operation:
Logipac 21E are wrapping packaging machines specifically for wrapping group
of biscuits standing vertically on edge. Biscuits are picked and placed
manually in two inclined chutes. From the chutes biscuits move on indexing
belt conveyor and are transferred into the main infeed conveyor of the
machine. Infeed conveyor holds the end biscuits from dropping and push the
slung of biscuits into the wrapper which has been formed into a tube by
means of forming folders. Biscuits from this point onwards are held by means
of side support belts and pack is pulled by means of pair of rollers cold
and heated to form the long seal. Side support belts offer an ideal system
for biscuit control as it is not only gentle on the biscuits but also
requires no timing or setting when size changes. Cross seals are formed by
rotating jaws with central knife to complete packet formation. Wrapper
pulling is done by means of servo driven pinch rollers before the folding
unit for accurate print registration and quick change over. Second axis of
servo drive operates the rotary sealer cum cutter for quick and accurate
speed matching and timing.
